Rudyard
Kipping first joined a Ylub training group on an Apprentice basis back in 2018. Having progressed through the Yacademy and eventually fulfilled Debet Habere Sua Yak, he has finally been signed on a full time Cabinet contract. The significance of this leap cannot be understated as it represents the coming of age of a player who has been groomed for this since U17s.
Within hours of booking his place in the Cabinet, Matt took the seductive nature of the Ylub and successfully weaponized it in a truly rogue manner. 2019’s EGM was the climax of a recruitment campaign that resulted in a 25% uplift in Cabinet appointments. After a night of hard work, we’d call that a happy ending. Not to be outdone, rumours are that Rudyard still finished on top.
As the Cabinet expands, there develops an ever growing need for a strict adherence to the Ylub Laws, and who better to keep the Yakkers in line than a man with so much experience pressing his penal code on others?
His fondness for institutional bondage aside, the man they call Kipping has long occupied a versatile role in the Bisons’ plans. The Ylub are hopeful that we can keep this spirit rolling on the river, whether propping up the formation, or flying out in the wider channels, young Kipping will undoubtedly be there with a smile.
